Do hosting plans include backups without this?
No — without the add-on you're relying on exports you take yourself. Premium Backups is the managed service: automatic daily copies, encrypted and stored off-site, kept 90 days.
How do restores work?
From the Backups page on your dashboard: pick any snapshot in retention and restore it in place. Only need a file or a table back? Open a ticket and we'll pull it out of the snapshot for you.
Where are the offsite copies stored?
In dedicated off-site object storage, separate from the server that runs your site — and every archive is encrypted before it leaves that server.
Can I download a backup myself?
Not self-serve just yet — open a ticket naming the snapshot and we'll hand you the archive. A download button on the Backups page is on the roadmap.
