Mailboxes are not part of hosting plans, and we do not run a mail server. Email is a specialist service, and the providers below do it properly: reliable delivery, spam filtering, mobile apps and calendars. Your domain stays with phas; only the mail records point at the provider.

Adding a provider to your domain
Every provider gives you a short list of records during their setup: MX
records for delivery, a TXT record to verify the domain, and usually SPF,
DKIM and DMARC records for deliverability. Add each one in the zone under
DNS, exactly as the provider shows it. The editor checks the format as
you type. Providers see the records within the hour and confirm the domain
on their side.
Forwarding and a provider on the same domain
A domain delivers mail to one place. If forwarding is on, turn it off before
adding the provider's MX records; see the forwarding article above. The
provider can then forward or alias addresses itself.
Switching providers later
Set up the new provider, add its records over the old ones, and keep the old account open for a week while mail settles. Nothing about your website changes: mail records and web records are independent.
