Migrated accounts: activating billing

If your plan moved to phas from a previous provider, it runs until a due date without a card. Here is how to set up payment.

Plans and domains moved to phas from a previous provider arrive without a payment method. They keep running as they are, with a due date shown on the plan's page. Before that date, set up billing so nothing pauses.

Activating a hosting plan

  1. Open the plan under Hosting. Its page shows Activate billing with the due date.
  2. Click it. A checkout opens for the plan you already have, at the current price for its size, with the monthly or yearly choice.
  3. Pay. The subscription attaches to the existing plan, the due date clears, and nothing is reprovisioned. Your site is untouched throughout.

The card you enter becomes the account's payment method for everything else too.

Domains

Migrated domains renew from the same card once it is saved. We email you as a renewal approaches if no card is on file, with more urgency the closer it gets. Saving a card anywhere in your account, including through the plan activation above, attaches every waiting domain to it. See How domain renewals and billing work.

After the due date

A plan past its due date without payment is suspended, not deleted. Activate billing and it comes back within minutes. If you would rather not keep the plan, open a ticket and we close it cleanly.
